Special thanks goes out to Aaron Gore for a great Track Day held at Oak Hill Race Way in Texas to raise money for the Program. It was was the first such event and helped kick off the Program. There was a silent auction with items donated by Ethan’s cousins Tommy, Nicky, and Roger Lee Hayden. This race track and group are part of the CRMA racing family where Ethan and his brothers enjoy road racing competion.
Thanks Aaron…………

To lose any racer is tragic. To lose one as young as Ethan is heart breaking. I am honored to take part in the mission of “Chasin a Dream” and will do all I can to promote rider an track safety for young riders. Impact Safe-T Armor stands ready to make available protective armor for riders and “Armor Scholarships” for families.

A great big thank you goes out to Michael Braxton for his great Impact Safe T-Armor. The Hayden brothers have worn this style of protection when they were younger. So when the Gillim brothers started racing we knew that was something the boys had to have. Michael has provided the custom made Armor for Ethan and his brothers for several years. Ethan never raced without his “armor” when he had his leathers on.. and had them on when he was killed. BUT.. the Armor did do it’s job. It is designed to help absorb the impact of a crash .. and had done so very effectively many times before. What Ethan needed for the final crash was an AIR FENCE etc and the Ethan Program is working on helping race promoters have just that for their amateur races. Hayden and Frankie Lee Gillim highly recommend the Impact Safe T Armor for all racers and send a heart felt thank you for all that Michael Braxton is doing to help keep racers safe. We are all glad to have him on our board.
Thanks Michael
The world lost one of its brightest lights on May 5th 2007. Ethan “Butch” Gillim lost his life in a racing accident. Many of you may have known Ethan, many of you may have just heard us talk of him. The youngest of the three Gillim boys may have been the smallest, but was never over shadowed by his two older brothers and their talents, In fact, his brothers support and encouragement only aided in helping him shine with unbelievable brightness. He was completely a part of the team. The 2004 AMA Sports Youth Dirt Tracker of the Year accomplished many great things and touched many hearts in his short career. It is no doubt that he was a very special young man. We will miss you Butch.

Ethan’s family want to thank Danny Walker and the entire staff of the American Super Camp for the training Ethan and his brothers have received at several Super Camps. Ethan loved the camp, learned alot, and we all felt that Danny’s influence helped Ethan race safer and more effectively. We want to see more young riders benefit from the special training that only American Super Camp can give. Thank you Danny.. Ethan loved you.
Thanks goes out from all those that support the Ethan Program to a special promoter, Jonathan Risko of Birmingham, Alabama. Jonathan, an author currently working on a book about one of the road racing professional racers, saw one of the donation cards, called and offered his assistance for the Barber race to be held April 18,19,20th, 2008. It was a pleasure getting Jonathan the cards that he made sure were passed out in the pits to all the pro racers. He wore an Ethan t shirt, talked to everyone possible, and will be talking to many in the Birmingham area about doing a track day for the Program, having some poker runs with some street clubs, etc. It is great to know that all the top racers are now very aware of the Ethan Program and we will be contacting them for items to be offered to clubs for silent auctions etc. to raise money for the program.
Thanks Jonathan
